On January 21, 2022, at the Faculty of History, Professor of the Department of History of Kazakhstan Alpysbes Mahsat Alpysbesuly organized and conducted a scientific and methodological seminar "Issues of formation of ethnic and cultural identity" for the teaching staff and students. The guest and speaker at the seminar was Professor, Director of the Research Center "Interethnic Relations and Tolerance of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan" Syzdykov Satay Maksutuly. The speaker raised the issues of the basis of national identity and its main values. The audience was very interested in the scientist's views on the idea of "Mangilik el", the relationship and mutual influence of various cultures in Kazakhstan, ethnic groups, a just society and others.
The results of the scientific seminar were summed up by Associate Professor of the Department of History of Kazakhstan Yermenbayeva Gulzhan Kakimbekovna, who drew attention to the conditions for preserving national identity in the era of globalization.
