On April 28, 2023, the Faculty of History hosted an international scientific seminar "Sultan Beybarys and his place in Turkic history", dedicated to the 800th anniversary of Sultan Beybars al-Bunduktari at-Turki, the founder of the Kipchak dynasty of the Mamluk state in Egypt and Syria in the XIII century.
The Dean of the Faculty of History of the L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University Bekmaganbetov U. Zh. and the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Oriental Studies and History of Osh State University Tagaybekova A. A. delivered a welcoming speech and wished success to the seminar.
The main speakers were Professor of the Department of Archeology and Ethnology Artykbayev Zhambyl Omarovich, the topic of the report "Beybarys Sultan: new pages of his life and work", associate professor of the Department of History of Kyrgyzstan and Archeology, Ethnology of Osh State University Smadiyarov Sydyk Akunovich, the topic of the report "Sultan Beybarys is a prominent historical figure of his era", senior lecturer of the Department of History of Uzbekistan Tashkent Pedagogical University Elena Sergeevna Pustovaya University, topic of the report "The political situation in the East at the beginning of the XIII century".
The speakers answered the questions received, and the participants of the discussion expressed their current suggestions and recommendations about the role of Sultan Beybarys in the Turkic history.
The seminar was moderated by the Deputy Dean for Scientific work Yermenbayeva G.K. and the head of the Department of History of Kazakhstan Kushenova G.I.
