The Department of History of Kazakhstan continues scientific cooperation with the Institute of Social Sciences of the Ural State Pedagogical University (Yekaterinburg).

On November 5, 2021, an international round table was held in an online format on the topic "Scientific and educational aspects of the study of history. The collapse of the USSR and interaction within the CIS in scientific research and educational practice". The rector of USPU, Professor S.Minyurova, made a welcoming speech to the participants of the round table.

The report "Problems of post-Soviet integration: from the Novo-Ogarev process to the Alma-Ata Declaration" was made by Associate Professor of the Department of History of Kazakhstan Yermenbayeva G.K.

The report "30 years since the closure of the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site: a review of Kazakhstani research" was made by Associate Professor of the Department of History of Kazakhstan G.K. Zhapekova and 1-year master's student Khasenova Meruert.

Great interest was aroused by the report of Professor of the Department of History of Kazakhstan Musabalina G.T. "Anti-nuclear movement "Nevada-Semey".
