On April 12, 2023, as part of the celebration of the Day of Science Workers, the XVIII International Scientific Conference "ǴYLYM JÁNE BILIM- 2023" was held at the L.N. Gumilyov ENU. The session of the section "History, archeology and Ethnology" was held in the subsections "Actual problems of history of Kazakhstan: new approaches and prospects", " Actual problems of world history: history and modernity", "Problems of archeology in the context of modernization of historical consciousness ", “Problems of ethnology in the context of modernization of historical consciousness".
The conference was attended by students, undergraduates, doctoral students and young scientists from Kazakhstani universities - L.N. Gumilyov ENU, KazGUU University, Al-Farabi KazNU, Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, M.Kozybayev North Kazakhstan University, E.Buketov KarSU, South Kazakhstan Medical Academy, Toraighyrov University, M.Utemisov West Kazakhstan University, Abai Myrzakhmetov Kokshetau University, International University of Engineering and Technology, "Alikhan Bokeikhan University", International Taraz Innovation Institute named after Sherkhan Murtaza, Shakarim University.
Students of partner universities took an active part - Ural State Pedagogical University, Udmurt State University, Northeastern Federal University named after M.K. Ammosov, Mirzo Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan, Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after M.Tank.
The problematic and chronological range of the reports presented at the section was very extensive, the speeches of the participants were met with great interest and were accompanied by a lively discussion.
The best reports were awarded with Diplomas and Letters of Thanks from the Rector of the L.N.Gumilev ENU.
