The Faculty of History is currently one of the leading faculties of the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov, which occupies one of the leading places in Kazakhstan's ranking of leading universities.
Research work of the Faculty of History of the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov relies on the concept of a university of research type. Scientific researches of the faculty, first of all, are aimed at developing and improving the educational process, and improving the quality of graduates at all levels of higher and postgraduate education. This determines the nature of most of the research work, which largely contributes to the preservation and strengthening of the leading positions of the historical faculty of the ENU in the system of higher historical education.
The planning of the scientific work of the Faculty of History is carried out in accordance with the priority areas of scientific research.
Scientific work at the Faculty of History is conducted by the faculty and students (doctoral students, undergraduates and students).
One of the most common forms of presentation of research results in the field of historical sciences are various specialized publications: monographs, articles, collections of scientific papers, textbooks and teaching aids.
Despite a number of positive trends, the task of improving the quality of scientific papers and their wider promotion within the framework of the historical scientific community, by publishing both in the large-circulation peer-reviewed domestic journals and well-known publishing houses and in leading foreign publications relevant to various citation indexes.
Regularly teachers of the historical faculty take part in various competitions in the field of scientific scholarships, grants and prizes.
